Sunmaker’s Gambit
This piece was created to see how less dense grids with asymmetric patterns would work with my lampshade style. It took a lot of tweaking to get it to naturally stay in a uniform shape without the paper warping due to tension. I especially love how this piece seems to transform when the light is on or off, highlighting the structural layers within the lamp when illuminated and outlining the central star motif when unlit.
